Welcome to Design Class! <\/strong>My name is Mr. Conrad.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Throughout MYP 1 & 2, we will be creating digital as well as product designs. Design is the link between innovation and creativity. It influences how we communicate with others, adapt to our environment and find solutions to the specific needs of those who use our designs. <\/span>You will learn how to use the Design Cycle to identify problems, develop design sketches, create the final design and evaluate how effective your design is for the user.<\/span><\/div>

    • <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>develop knowledge, understanding and skills from different disciplines to design and create solutions to problems using the design cycle<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>use and apply technology effectively as a means to access, process and communicate information, model and create solutions, and to solve problems<\/strong><\/p>\n

        • <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>develop an appreciation of the impact of design innovations for life, global society and environments<\/strong><\/p>\n

          • <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>appreciate past, present and emerging design within cultural, political, social, historical and environmental contexts<\/strong><\/p>\n

            • <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>develop respect for others\u2019 viewpoints and appreciate alternative solutions to problems<\/strong><\/p>\n
