Demonstrate Technical Skills
Most of the fun begins with this strand. Now you will need to find your images and edit them.
You can use Pixlr editor to remove a background from an image.
Click the butterfly below to open the app and then “open image from computer”.
Double click on the lock in the “layers” panel to unlock the layer.
Choose the wand tool (shortcut “w”).
A plus symbol will appear when you hold the shift key
while clicking to select the white background
After selecting the white background, click backspace to remove it.
If you are having trouble selecting, try experimenting with the “tolerance” setting in the upper left.
The checkered background tells us that the background has been removed.
Save your image as a “PNG transparent full quality”.
Upload your image and the background will be transparent!

During the creation phase of any product, ideas change and the final product doesn’t always turn out as planned. In this strand you will write about the changes that were made to your plan and/or design idea while creating it.
